Director - Tace Stevens
Producer - Brooke Collard
Runtime - 10 minutes

This 10 minute documentary, follows my older brother, Keenan, as he travels 10 hours from Perth to Cundeelee, to spend a week with our dad, to learn how to make a woomera (a traditional spear thrower). It's hard to put into words how special this project means. It allowed my brother and dad to spend time together, something they haven’t done for a long time. Keenan was around 8 years old the last time he was out bush with Dad. He’s about to turn 35. Cundeelee is 3 hours east of Kalgoorlie. It's where Dad was born and raised. We had originally planned to film in Tjuntjuntjara, but due to the rain, the roads were closed. After we decided to film in Cundeelee, Dad told me that that's where he learnt to make the woomera. When we got to Kalgoorlie, Dad dropped some other beautiful facts. He hadn't been back to Cundeelee for 27 years. Keenan and I would be the first of his kids that he would be taking back to his Country.
